Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola has celebrated his wife, Deaconess Ruth Abosede Adekola, on her birthday, sharing a touching account of how their love story began more than two decades ago.
The actor took to Instagram on Monday, November 2, 2026, to celebrate his wife, recalling how he approached her about 22 years ago and openly expressed his desire to spend his life with her.
Recounting their first encounter, Adekola said he was convinced she was the woman he wanted and wasted no time in making his intentions known.
“I saw Madam Ruth Abosede Adekola about 22 years ago! I walked up to her and said, ‘My friend! I see what I want in you, can you be mine?’” he wrote.
He further revealed that they became engaged about 20 years ago, describing Ruth as “the MOTHER of our KINGS” and reaffirming his affection for her.
“I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER MY NUMBER ONE FAN,” the actor added.
Adekola also prayed for God’s continued blessings upon his wife and their family, wishing her good health, happiness and many more years of celebration.
