Men make advances at me, women think I’m a player - Dada Tolani
Nollywood actor and content creator Dada Oluwasola Tolani, popularly known as Motolani Odobodobo, has revealed that he sometimes receives romantic advances from men, saying the experience often leaves him surprised.
The Ekiti State-born actor made this known in a recent interview with Oyinmomo TV, where he was asked whether men approach him romantically.
Dada confirmed that such advances occur, explaining that he once asked a friend whether his mannerisms could be responsible for the attention.
“They do come. They come and it provokes me,” he said.
According to the actor, his friend assured him that he did not behave in a manner that suggested such interest, leaving him even more puzzled by the advances.
“I’m always surprised. They do come,” he added.
Dada, however, said he chooses not to judge people over their lifestyle or personal choices, preferring to ignore advances he does not welcome.
“I don’t judge people,” he said. “That is their own way of life, they know what they got themselves into. I don’t judge. I don’t just reply them. That is it.”
The actor also spoke about his experiences with women, saying some women have formed an impression of him as a player, which he believes affects how seriously they take him.
“Girls don’t take me serious. They used to think I’m actually a player,” he said.
Known for his work in Yoruba-language entertainment and online content creation, Dada has featured in movies including Chantel (2025), Eni Egbere (2025) and Mr Raymond (2024).
His comments highlight the sometimes unexpected assumptions public figures face based on their appearance, personality or public image, even when those perceptions may not reflect how they see themselves.
