2027: Osun PBAT coordinator Larry Jay hails Adeleke, Oyetola, Basiru for backing Tinubu’s re-election bid

The Osun State Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Olanrewaju Adeolu, popularly known as Larry Jay, has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke, former governor and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, for their show of support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Larry Jay gave the commendation shortly after the inauguration of the movement’s Osun chapter in Osogbo on Saturday, describing the involvement of the political leaders as an encouraging development for the campaign.

He said their collective support, despite differences in political affiliations, demonstrated the importance of cooperation on issues of national interest and would strengthen efforts to mobilise support for Tinubu across the state.

“The coming together of Governor Ademola Adeleke, Minister Adegboyega Oyetola and Senator Ajibola Basiru, alongside other political leaders in Osun, in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid sends an important message about the value of political unity in the state.

“Beyond party affiliations and political differences, the collective interest of the state and the need for constructive engagement with the Federal Government should remain paramount,” he said.

Larry Jay also praised the movement’s Grand Patron, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for providing 30 campaign vehicles to support its grassroots mobilisation activities.

He described the donation as a major contribution to the movement’s operations, noting that the vehicles would help its members reach communities, engage residents and expand the campaign across Osun.

“His support, demonstrated through the provision of 30 campaign vehicles, is a significant contribution to our grassroots mobilisation drive. This gesture goes beyond material support; it provides the movement with the logistical capacity to reach communities, engage stakeholders and take its message to people across Osun State and beyond,” he said.

Looking ahead to the 2027 presidential election, the Osun coordinator assured the movement’s national leadership and its Grand Patron that the state chapter would intensify its activities and establish a presence across all local government areas, wards and communities.

He said the group was committed to responsible political mobilisation, explaining that its members would focus on communicating the Tinubu administration’s programmes and encouraging citizens to participate in the democratic process.

“Our responsibility is to mobilise responsibly, communicate the administration’s programmes and encourage citizens to participate in the democratic process. We believe that unity of purpose, effective coordination and people-oriented engagement will be central to our activities as we prepare for the 2027 election,” he added.

The Osun chapter’s inauguration brought together political stakeholders from different parties, reflecting the involvement of prominent figures in the state’s emerging mobilisation efforts ahead of the next general election.
